Beauty + Cause: Laneige’s Waterful Sharing Campaign 2016

I think my love for Laneige is no secret. Most of their products work so well for me – like their Water Sleeping Mask and their BB Cushion Pore Control. Those two are staples in my skin care and everyday makeup routine. 😉

I’ve already made a lot of posts about their other products which I love as well. So this post won’t be a review. More of an announcement as I want to help them get the word out about a great campaign they’ll be running soon!

It’s that time of the year again for Laneige’s Waterful Sharing Campaign and this year, they decided to work with Global Peace Foundation (GPF).

GPF is actually an organisation that provides water relief for 500 orang asli (indigenous people) residents in Kampung Binjai, Pahang and Kampung Ulu Geruntum, Perak. Both areas are quite remote and people there have little access to clean drinking water.

They get their drinking water from rivers and ponds which is of course, non-treated and it even gets really dirty during monsoon season.

Laneige has launched a campaign aiming to raise RM80,000 that give each village their own water filtration system. These non-electrical filtration systems can give the villagers up to 16,000 litres of clean water per day.

Now here’s the fun part – how you can support the campaign!

Laneige will be selling Water Bank Limited Edition Water Bottles that come in three designs. They will only be for RM10 each with every purchase of any products from their Water Bank collection.

You can also get a bottle for RM40 if you still have enough Laneige products in your stock drawer. 😉 All proceeds from the water bottle sales will go into the fund for the water filtration systems.

This year’s Waterful Sharing Campaign will be held over a duration of 3 months from 1st May to 31st July 2016. Those who would like to support (learn more about) this campaign can head to the Centre Court of Mid Valley from the 2nd to 8th May 2016 to catch their roadshow for the campaign.
